MCWP Operator Daily Checklist

General Information

Items to Check

*1. It can be operated by trained and authorized personnel only. He must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine and must remain sober at all times.

*2. Safety provision and PPE checked and in good condition. Lifeline, harness, rope grabs, SWL / Max person signboard, toeboards, platforms ingress & egress, area below effectively cordon off.

*3. Parts and components are check for deformation, defects & corrosion at, whole of MCP, racks & mast, bolts & nuts, winches, welded joints, tiebacks, base mounting, telescopic extension etc.

*4. Checks base mounting and tie back brackets are firm, stable & secured, no cracks to structural components where it mounts.

*5. Conduct functional check that the MCP is functioning as per normal including the telescopic extension and all safety devices like brakes, limit switches, emergency stop button, indicator lights etc.

*6. Check that nothing is obstructing the travelling path, upwards and downwards.

*7. Check that no other works are being carried out below and above the MCP at any point of time.

*8. Check for good housekeeping within the MCP to prevent falling object hazard and that is not overloaded at any point of time.

*9. Check that all electrical connection is not loosen, cables in good condition and wtihout risk of entanglement and no signs of burnt.

*10. Check that there is no unauthorized extension of work platform/access.
