General Information

Has the work site been inspected?

Have the work procedures been communicated?

Hazard Identification

Are there hazards present that could cause physical injury.

Does weather indicate any extreme temperature.

Wind conditions been considered.

Emergency Response Plan established and reviewed.

There are no potential fire or explosion hazards.

First-aid requirements have been satisfied.

General safety precautions have been identified.

Lifting and handling of loads work has been considered.

Is Lock Out or Isolation required

Will workers be exposed to noise above 85dba.

Are there issues with lighting.

Confined space entry is considered.

Are there chemical hazards present.

Operator has been trained. (If ATV is needed)

Powered mobile equipment (ATV/Snowmobile) has been checked.

Any additional safeguards required.

There are appropriate drinking fluids, toilet & washing facilities available for workers.

Power tools, equipment and machinery are checked.

Will anyone be working alone.

All WHMIS & TGD requirements have been met.

Forestry activity such as bucking or felling has been considered.

Precautions have been taken to ensure no other work will be done that could create a hazard.

Designated smoking area has been established.

Any potentially harmful wildlife in the area.

Workers will be required to use respiratory protection.

Workers with allergies to foods and/or insects or taking any prescribed medication are made known

All personnel have appropriate PPE.

Are there any overhead hazards.
