Conducting welding operations pose several hazards to both those undertaking the work and others in the vicinity. Use this Welding Checklist template to ensure tools and equipment used for welding complies with safety protocols with the Welding Checklist template.

Welding Checklist

A. Welding Set

*1. Connections are defect free and well insulated

*2. Shock preventor built-in/installed and in good functioning order

*3. Switch in good working condition

*4. Proper earthing provided

*5. Battery terminals are in good condition (Not rusted)

*6. Machines are placed away from flammable/combustible substance

B. Cable and Joints

*1. Cable joints are fully insulated with no abrasions

*2. Proper cable joints are used for connection

*3. Cables are fully insulated

*4. Cables are of correct size and rating according to voltage supply.

*5. Cables are properly laid / hung

*6.Cables are not in contact with oil, water, sharp edges or combustible materials

C.Electrode Holder

*1. Electrode holders are in good working condition. e.g. properly insulated

*2. Holders are properly hung after use

*3. Holders are not in contact with metal parts or structure

*4. Welding electrodes are detached when not in use
